- Dancing with the Leviathan

- N.B. While Ashkenaz runs August 25 - September 1, Dancing with the Leviathan spans offsite at the Lonsdale Gallery where it runs August 14 - Sept. 7. At Harbourfront Centre spaces, it opens August 25 and extends to October 13.
- Featuring the work of 38 established and emerging visual artists, Dancing with the Leviathan is organized for both Harbourfront Centre (indoor and outdoor installations and exhibitions) and the Lonsdale Gallery. Pieces range from a reworking of biblical texts, shtetl and immigrant imagery to personal statements on the Holocaust and issues of cultural identity. The largest exhibit of its kind to be held in Toronto.
The Lonsdale Gallery portion of the exhibition opens slightly before the Festival and runs from August 14 - September 7. In general, the Harbourfront portion of the exhibition runs past the Festival to October 13:
